DevOps Engineer
Working Hours: 9 AM to 5 PM EST
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 3+ years in DevOps and General Software Development Engineering (SDE).
Containerization & Orchestration: Solid experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.(CKAD certification preferred)
CI/CD: Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms (GitHub, GitLab), including deep knowledge of building, testing, and deploying pipelines via YAML templates.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Expertise in IaC management using Helm.
Messaging & Architecture: Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Monitoring & Observability: Proficiency with monitoring and logging solutions (OpenTelemetry, Elasticsearch, Grafana, etc.).
Scripting & Development: Strong scripting and coding skills in Python, Node.js, and C#.
Databases: Practical experience with PostgreSQL database management.
Operations: Experience with production support, incident management, and on-call rotations.
Agile & Development Processes: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, including daily standups, sprint planning, and MR reviews.
Key Responsibilities
Edge Computing & Serverless Management: Architect, deploy, and manage serverless applications at the edge using Cloudflare Workers and Cloudflare Wrangler 4 CLI.
Traffic Routing & Nginx Development: Maintain and extend high-performance reverse proxies using Nginx, leveraging Lua scripting for custom request routing and dynamic processing.
Kubernetes Manifest Authoring: Construct accurate Kubernetes YAML configurations across key Kubernetes objects with a strong understanding of core object architecture and connectivity.
Cluster Replatforming & Migration: Migrate of production workloads from legacy Kubernetes environments (such as RKE v1) to modern RKE2 setups
Containerization: Write optimized, multi-stage Dockerfiles, enforce image security best practices, and maintain minimal container footprints.
CI/CD Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain robust automated integration and deployment pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
Cross-Language Collaboration: Read, debug, and support codebases written in JavaScript and C# to effectively troubleshoot application-level container and pipeline failures.
System Troubleshooting & Incident Response: Rapidly diagnose and resolve failed deployments, broken Docker builds, pipeline bottlenecks, and application runtime errors.
