Team Lead - PHP Developer
Working hours: min. 4 hours overlap with ET required
Summary
We’re looking for a hands-on Lead Developer to help build and evolve our next-generation website builder and CMS platform. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning complex systems, writing production-level code, and shaping technical direction in collaboration with Product and TPM partners.
This is a 60/40 hands-on leadership role, combining active development with technical leadership, architecture decisions, and team guidance.
Responsibilities
Lead development of core platform features across backend and frontend systems
Design, implement, and maintain scalable platform functionality
Write high-quality production code using Laravel, PostgreSQL, and Angular/TypeScript
Own database design, performance, and data integrity in a multi-tenant SaaS environment
Collaborate closely with Product, TPM, and Design teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
Debug and resolve complex cross-system issues involving editor state, persistence, and rendering
Establish and maintain coding standards, architectural patterns, and engineering best practices
Conduct code reviews and mentor developers to ensure clean, maintainable code
Lead and coordinate work across backend and frontend engineers
Contribute to architectural and infrastructure decisions
Support and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
Requirements
Strong backend development experience (PHP/Laravel preferred)
Deep understanding of database design and performance optimization (PostgreSQL preferred)
Experience building or maintaining multi-tenant SaaS platforms
Comfortable working across the full stack
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Experience leading technical initiatives or guiding other engineers
