Copywriter
The Marketing & Creative teams are looking for a driven and highly creative Digital Copywriter. This role is responsible for writing, translating, and copyediting content in both English and Spanish across digital, print, and TV.
The position reports to the Lead Copywriter of IB’s shared creative services team and works closely with the Creative Director, Director of Video Production, and partners across Marketing, Editorial, and Product Design.
Time Overlap: 8:00am – 5:00pm PT
Core Accountabilities
Produce original, clear, and credible copy and be accountable for the final development of creative assets
Execute clean, detail-oriented, on-brief copy in both English and Spanish
Optimize copy (language, tone, message) based on audience and channel insights
Interpret, understand, and strategically translate English copy to Spanish while balancing platform requirements and in-language strategies
Ensure brand messaging guidelines and directives are embraced and adhered to in all executions
Partner with the design team to ensure copy is correctly flowed into design and find integrated visual/copy solutions
Take ownership of deadlines and follow project schedules
Must have experience in:
Writing marketing copy (social and video) in both English and Spanish
Translating verbatim as well as interpreting and rewriting content
Reviewing and copyediting Spanish written and spoken content (including actors in videos)
Plus:
Implementing learnings from digital metrics (email open rates, conversion, A/B testing, etc.)
Experience working in the legal and auto verticals strongly encouraged
Skills & Attributes
Creative self-starter with the ability to navigate a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Solid organizational and time-management skills; detail-oriented and able to juggle priorities
Strong relationship-building skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
Qualifications
College degree (BA preferred)
2–3 years of copywriting experience
