Role Overview
We’re looking for a performance-driven CRO Developer to craft fast, reliable, and intuitive interfaces that turn complex business logic into seamless user experiences. You’ll own the build and optimization of responsive landing pages and online experiences, using modern JavaScript, precise component architecture, and instrumentation-ready code to drive measurable outcomes. This role sits at the intersection of product, conversion performance, and user experience, and requires a hands-on engineer who can translate requirements into scalable front-end systems, implement experiments, and ship interfaces built for clarity, speed, and impact.
What You'll Do
Experiments & A/B Testing
Build and deploy high-impact experiments using platforms like Convert and Unbounce to improve landing-page conversion and funnel continuity.
Implement tests by injecting custom JavaScript and CSS directly into the live DOM (no full page rebuilds).
Create A/B variants that match Figma or component specs with pixel-level precision across desktop and mobile.
Configure audience rules, traffic splits, targeting logic, and custom metrics (pageviews, CTA clicks, funnel-step progression, DOM-based events).
Validate real-time audience bucketing and event firing using browser console, network tools, and QA pixel checks.
Analyze experiment performance and tracking integrity to produce actionable insights for next-round hypotheses.
Front-End Build & Landing Page Engineering
Build responsive, high-converting landing experiences in Unbounce and similar platforms.
Implement custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to match product and funnel designs exactly while maintaining performance and accessibility.
Ship performance-optimized landing pages and micro-funnels built for speed, cross-device clarity, and maintainability.
Integrate marketing pixels, conversion tracking, UTMs, and questionnaire handoff states without introducing regressions.
DOM Manipulation & Custom JavaScript
Write standalone, console-runnable JavaScript utilities to manipulate DOM elements across single- and multi-step funnels.
Modify live flow pages step-by-step, ensuring event continuity and component integrity between funnel stages.
Maintain pixel-perfect accuracy across typography scale, layout spacing, responsive behavior, and component sizing.
Protect page speed and real-browser compatibility after each deployment.
Analytics, Tracking & QA
Configure custom event tracking for CTA clicks, pageview goals, funnel steps, UTMs, and audience-specific filters.
Verify tracking accuracy across major browsers, screen sizes, operating systems, and device classes.
Validate user falloff behavior, funnel progression, and confirmation page logic.
Test DOM, logic, and tracking changes on Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, plus iOS and Android devices.
Flag and address any performance or measurement degradation introduced by test code.
Troubleshooting, Debugging & Collaboration
Diagnose issues related to mismatched data sources, broken or un-fired events, UI inconsistencies, audience segmentation errors, and performance drops.
Identify whether deployments or third-party factors caused test volatility and propose technical resolution paths.
Coordinate with product, marketing, analytics, and content teams to translate funnel requirements into front-end execution plans.
Own assigned tasks from initial spec through implementation, QA, and validated handoff with minimal oversight.
What You'll Bring
Technical Expertise
4+ years of front-end engineering using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Strong DOM manipulation skills, including safe page modifications without forcing HTML rewrites.
Experience shipping dynamic UI changes without altering the original markup or document structure.
A/B experimentation experience using platforms such as Convert, Optimizely, Google Optimize, AB Tasty, or Adobe Target.
Landing page development experience in Convert, Unbounce, or comparable page-embed environments.
Working knowledge of instrumentation with Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, including UTMs, custom events, pageview goals, and funnel-step tracking.
Ability to translate Figma designs into pixel-precise UI with accurate spacing, type scale, component sizing, and responsive breakpoints.
Advanced debugging with Chrome DevTools (network inspection, console, breakpoints, and measurement validation).
Cross-browser and cross-device QA experience.
Familiarity with experimentation concepts such as noise, significance, lift, and confidence.
Behavioral Requirements
Exceptional attention to detail in both UI fidelity and measurement accuracy.
Ownership mentality from first specification through final validation.
Fast, clear, and dependable communication, especially in asynchronous and cross-time-zone environments.
Ability to work autonomously with limited direction.
Strong organizational habits: structured task tracking, revision checkpoints, and deployment checklists.
Comfort operating under tight deadlines without sacrificing accuracy.
Stable internet access and contingency planning for outages.
Preferred Qualifications to have
Experience engineering SEM-focused landing pages built for conversion.
Background in conversion rate optimization.
Experience with multi-stage or multi-step lead funnels, including state management between steps.
Knowledge of cross-domain tracking and revenue attribution setups.
Experience working in low-traffic environments where statistical significance is difficult to achieve.
Proven ability to diagnose discrepancies between analytics and experimentation reporting tools.
How You’ll Excel in This Role
Treat every pixel as non-negotiable—layout, spacing, and typography all matter.
Surface questions early and clarify edge cases before they become blockers.
Own problems end-to-end, from first bug report or request through to verified fix in production.
Debug both code and analytics, tracing issues through the DOM, DevTools, GTM, and reporting tools.
Apply experimentation logic and core statistical concepts (lift, noise, confidence, sample size) to your work.
Communicate reliably across time zones, with clear written updates and predictable responses.
Thoroughly QA your work—cross-browser, cross-device, and data validation—before sharing deliverables.
