Testing Engineer
Working Hours: UTC+1
Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing for complex applications.
- Identify, log, and track defects in a bug-tracking system, ensuring timely resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Perform root cause analysis for issues and work closely with developers to resolve them.
- Contribute to improving testing processes and standards.
- Provide regular updates on testing progress and risks to project stakeholders.
- Identify issues that can impact your production line, and provide predictive impact updates to Managers
- Collaborative skills across teams to bring in efficiency
- Identify mitigation plans when needed
- Working across teams and functions, undertake specialist roles which require the experience and knowledge of a team leader/manager.
- Take responsibility for the work you and your team produce, ensuring high levels of attention to detail.
- Prioritize own workload based on input from Project Managers, Designers, Account Managers, Team Lead, and Manager.
- Document work and correspondence in tracking systems
- In alignment with business objectives, improve production quality and efficiency as necessary.
- Perform root cause analysis for quality and/or efficiency problems, and recommend action plans to address them.
- 4-year degree or certificate in a related field required.
- Minimum 4 years of related professional experience in web design, leading a team, and/or web coding.
Required Skills (Must-haves)
- 4 - 6 years of experience in manual software testing.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr) and defect tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Solid experience in analyzing requirements and creating detailed test scenarios and cases.
Preferred Skills (Nice to have)
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Familiarity with database testing and writing SQL queries.
- Exposure to test automation frameworks (even as support or in collaboration)
