About the Role
We’re looking for a Junior Test Automation Engineer to join our FindLaw Enhancements Team. In this role, you'll work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to ensure the quality of our web applications. You'll gain hands-on experience writing automated tests, analyzing test results, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our software delivery process.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their QA career who wants to grow their technical skills and be part of a collaborative, fast-paced team.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Java.
- Execute regression, functional, and integration tests under guidance.
- Collaborate with QA and development teams to understand test requirements.
- Perform basic debugging and log analysis to help identify root causes of test failures.
- Report and track software defects using a bug-tracking system.
- Help improve test coverage and testing efficiency through automation.
- Prioritize and manage your own tasks with input from team leads and project managers.
- Document your work clearly using tracking tools and test documentation.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement discussions.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or certificate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in software testing or test automation (internships or academic projects count).
- Basic understanding of Java programming.
- Familiarity with Selenium WebDriver and JUnit (or similar tools).
- Knowledge of SDLC and STLC concepts.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced development environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have (Preferred but Not Required)
- Exposure to web development technologies like HTML and CSS.
- Experience working with version control systems such as Git.
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development environments.
